This is a Port Ellen 25 year old, an independent bottling by Douglas Laing for its Old Malt Cask range. It was distilled in November 1980 and bottled in April 2006 from a single cask, as one of 201 bottles at 50% ABV, in a 70cl bottle.
Port Ellen distillery on Islay closed in 1983, and much of it has since been demolished. The warehouses remain, with a steadily decreasing number of oak casks inside.
