This is a 24 year old Port Ellen single malt from Islay, part of the Provenance range. It was distilled in 1983, the year the distillery ceased operation, and matured in a refill butt. It comes in a 70cl bottle at 43% ABV. The tasting notes describe a prominent salinity like sea air with hints of lemon. The palate carries warming ginger, with earthy peat and charcoal, and the finish has a touch of ripe tobacco leaf.
