Powers John's Lane 12 Year Old is a triple-distilled single pot still Irish whiskey, bottled at 46% in a 75cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered, and it pays tribute to the John's Lane distillery in Dublin where Powers began.
It is made from malted and unmalted barley and distilled at Midleton in County Cork. The whiskey matures for at least twelve years, mostly in ex-bourbon barrels with a small share of oloroso sherry casks.
Tasting notes describe honeyed cereal, soft leather, cocoa and tobacco on the nose. The palate is full-bodied and peppery, with vanilla, honey, dried apricot and orange peel. The finish is long and warming, with toasted oak and gentle honey.
