Old Man Winter is a limited seasonal bourbon from Preservation Distillery in Bardstown, Kentucky, bottled at 54.9% ABV. It blends nearly 9-year-old Indiana bourbon with 6-year-old Kentucky pot-stilled wheated bourbon, in batches of one to three barrels.
It was aged in the distillery's own Bardstown warehouse, proofed with limestone water from the farm and sealed in hand-dipped winter wax.
Citrus, stone fruit, caramel, clove and vanilla buttercream lead the nose. The palate is silky, with rye spice, chile heat, honey and apple, and a tingling warmth.
