Primitivo Dolce Fioremio - Le Vigne di Luca Attanasio

A sweet red wine from Puglia, made from hand-harvested Primitivo grapes selected at full maturity. Traditional fermentation is followed by careful appassimento, concentrating sugars and aromas. It has a deep ruby red colour. The nose shows mature berry fruits, dried plums, and spicy notes of vanilla and chocolate from light barrique ageing. On the palate it is sumptuously sweet but not cloying, balanced by acidity and soft tannins. It pairs well with chocolate desserts, blue cheeses and traditional Puglian dishes with dried fruit, and suits relaxed end-of-meal drinking.
