The Stranger is a Polish rye whiskey from Proof and Wood, made from 100% rye and batch distilled in Poland. It is 105 proof in a 75cl bottle.
The whiskey then spent eight years maturing in the US, in ex-bourbon and ex-rye barrels. It is full-bodied, with hints of caramel, honey and spice.
The nose brings toasted pecans, lemon zest and nutmeg. On the palate there is cinnamon bark, chocolate babka and toasted rye seeds, leading to a bright, gripping finish of fresh grass.
