Proper No. Twelve 13 Year Old is a single malt Irish whiskey made with Old Bushmills Distillery, in a limited release bottled at 43% ABV. It was founded as a brand by Conor McGregor, and this is its age-stated single malt.
The whiskey is made from 100% malted barley, triple distilled and aged for 13 years in ex-bourbon barrels, then finished in ruby port casks.
The nose is vanilla, toasted oak, red berries and light spice. The palate is smooth and layered, with caramel, dried fruit, dark cherry and soft oak. The finish is medium to long, with lingering sweetness, gentle spice and a subtle port influence.
