Proper No. Twelve Black Reserve is a triple distilled Irish whiskey from Conor McGregor's Proper No. Twelve brand, bottled at 40% ABV in a 750ml bottle.
It is matured in heavily charred bourbon barrels, which give it a richer, more intense profile with a strong oak character.
The nose is warm, with vanilla, toasted oak, caramel, light brown sugar and gentle baking spice. The palate is smooth and rounded, with honeyed grain, soft caramel, charred oak, vanilla cream and peppery spice. The finish is warming, with lingering wood spice, sweet vanilla and a touch of smoky char.
