Proper No. Twelve Irish Apple is a flavoured Irish whiskey in a 75cl bottle, bottled at 35% ABV. It is made at Causeway Distillery in Northern Ireland from triple-distilled whiskey, with natural apple flavouring added to the finished spirit. It extends the Proper No. Twelve range, which was co-founded by Conor McGregor in 2018. The apple comes from flavouring rather than any cask finish, and the grain character of the original blend is kept. The nose is sweet cider and candied green apple, with caramel, oak and browned butter beneath. On the palate come cooked apples and honey, then oak and green peel. The finish is medium, with brown sugar and gentle oak.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
