Puncher's Chance Bourbon is a Kentucky straight bourbon, bottled at 45% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It is a marriage of five- and six-year-old barrels, selected and blended by master distiller Kevin Curtis.
The mashbill is 75% corn, 13% rye and 12% malted barley. The brand takes its name from boxing, from the idea that any fighter can land the decisive blow. It scored 95 points from The Tasting Panel in January 2021.
The nose is oaky and sweet, with caramel, creamy vanilla and baking spice. The palate has caramel and vanilla, then orange peel, dark chocolate and leather. The finish is long, with maple and sugar, gentle warmth and a trace of oak tannin.
