The Left Cross is a 14 year old Kentucky straight bourbon from Puncher's Chance, bottled at 48% ABV in a 75cl bottle. The mash bill is 84% corn, 8% malt and 8% rye.
After 14 years in wood rickhouses, the bourbon was finished for two to six months in freshly emptied casks that had held 12 year old Jamaican rum. The name refers to Donovan 'Razor' Ruddock, the Jamaican heavyweight whose left cross became his calling card.
The result is described as balanced, with the bourbon character and the rum finish sitting together.
