Pure Scot Virgin Oak

Pure Scot Virgin Oak is a blended malt Scotch whisky, made from single malts only with no grain spirit. It is matured in virgin oak, meaning first-use American oak casks that have never held another spirit. That is an unusual route for Scotch, where ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks are the more common choice. Fresh wood gives the whisky a more intense character of caramelised vanilla, toasted grain and sweet wood than previously used casks would.
