R6 Distillery Straight Rye is a Californian rye from a family- and veteran-owned distillery in El Segundo, bottled at 43% ABV in a 75cl bottle.
It rests for a minimum of four years in new charred American oak. Founder and master distiller Rob Rubens built the distillery around honest age statements.
The nose has spice and apple with an autumnal feel. On the palate, soft apple and honey lead into fresh rye spice. The finish brings a soft, lingering heat with caramel and brown sugar.
