This is a 5 year old Raasay single malt, the second edition of Westie Sponge from Decadent Drinks. It is a small batch, distilled in 2018 and bottled in 2023.
The whisky marries a refill hogshead with a first fill bourbon barrel. It was put together to balance richness and sweetness while letting the character of the distillate come through.
It is described as waxy and coastal, full of bright citrus fruits, with a delicate thread of peat.
