Raer The Inaugural Release is the first single malt from Jackton Distillery, a family-run Lowland distillery. Batch No. 1 was distilled, matured and bottled there at 48.7% ABV, in a 70cl bottle, with natural colour and without chill filtration.
The whisky brings together spirit matured in Bourbon, Pedro Ximénez, Amontillado and Oloroso casks. The release runs to 6,000 individually hand-numbered bottles.
Its character is described as rich and full-flavoured, with warmth, depth and balance.
