Arzente is an Italian brandy from Ramazzotti, in a one-litre bottle. The word is an old variant of ardente, and it was coined in the 1930s by Gabriele D'Annunzio to describe a wine distillate, or more commonly a brandy with an Italian name.
The name has a history tied to regulation: in 1951 Italian brandy could no longer be called Cognac, which is where a term like Arzente came to matter.
