Adriano Reserva is a Tawny port from Ramos Pinto, named in tribute to the house's founder, Adriano Ramos Pinto. It is a blend of wines aged six to seven years, made from Tinta Roriz, Tinto Cão and Touriga Franca grown in the Douro valley. It has become popular in Brazil, where it is simply called Adriano.
Ageing in oak gives a semi-evolved Tawny colour, red in tone with an orange rim. The nose is dense, with fresh cherry and blackberry, dried fruit such as prunes and walnuts, and subtle balsamic touches. The palate opens intensely, balancing freshness and maturity, with peppery notes. The finish is long, soft and elegant.
