This is a tawny port from Ramos Pinto, a Douro house founded in 1880. It is a tawny red in colour with a topaz rim, and it has been matured in wood.
The house works with selected Douro grape varieties and is moving towards organic farming and greater biodiversity in its vineyards.
The aroma opens light and becomes smooth with wood ageing. On the palate it is light, warm and very soft, mature and fruity, with a complex, delicate character. The finish is well balanced and gentle.
