This is a white Port from Ramos Pinto, a house founded in 1880 and made from white grapes. Extended skin contact and ageing in wood give it more richness and complexity than many white Ports.
The colour is golden yellow. The aroma is fine and intense, with citrus notes, a hint of honey and almond. The attack is fresh and delicate, with resinous hints and a rich, buttery palate. It is dry, with a flavour of fresh fruit. Serve it as an aperitif or with soft goat cheese.
