Ramos Pinto White Port

This is a white port from Ramos Pinto, made from grapes grown on the house's four Quintas, the same sources as its red ports. Ramos Pinto produces four white ports, and its director and cellar master João Nicolau de Almeida argues that white port deserves as much attention as red. The blend uses Viosinho for structure, finesse and aroma, Rabigato for freshness and tannin, Arinta for a mineral character and elegance, and Codega for ripe fruit. Citrus, dried fruit, honey and ripe exotic notes lead, balanced by a crisp, fresh quality. Serve it lightly chilled as an aperitif, with foie gras or with fruit tart, or try it with tonic.
