Pride of Anderson County is a single-barrel Kentucky straight bourbon from Rare Character, aged for 9.5 years and bottled at cask strength, 58.48% ABV, in a 75cl bottle. Rare Character selects and bottles individual barrels, and this release comes from just one of them. The age statement and the full strength are the main points of the bottling. The nose is caramel, vanilla, toasted oak and dark cherry. The palate is full-bodied, with brown sugar, baking spice, leather, tobacco and barrel char. The finish is long and warming, with cinnamon, oak and lingering sweetness.
