Rare Hare 15 Year Old is an American whiskey matured for fifteen years in used bourbon barrels, then finished with toasted French oak staves. The staves add spice and a smoother texture to the long-matured spirit. The nose combines gentle oak with crème de cacao. On the palate, chocolate malt gives way to stone fruits and roasted nuts, and the finish brings clove and ginger.
