Rare Hare 7 Year Bourbon French Oak Stave Finish (70cl, 50%)

Rare Hare 7 Year is a blended bourbon whiskey bottled at 100 proof (50% ABV) in a 70cl bottle. It combines 55% Kentucky straight bourbon, aged in new charred American oak, with 45% bourbon mash American whiskey aged in charred American oak. The blend is then finished with toasted French oak staves, which add spice without heavy tannins. On the nose it is light French oak with soft vanilla, rich toffee and a gentle sweetness. The palate brings sarsaparilla and sandalwood from the American oak, building to pink peppercorn spice. The finish is crisp and clean, with peppercorn warmth fading into toasty oak.
