Rare Hare Lucky Bastard 30 Year Old Single Barrel Canadian Whisky

Lucky Bastard is a 30 year old single barrel Canadian whisky from Rare Hare Spirits. After its long maturation it was finished in casks that previously held Pineau des Charentes, the aperitif from western France. The finish brings in the character of fresh grapes and eau-de-vie. The nose is delicate and sweet, with vanilla bean, golden raisin, dandelion, honeycomb and bee pollen. On the palate come browned butter and sugar, serrano chile, young coconut, anise and walnut. The finish turns to banana peel, mellow Martinique rhum and plantain.
