Rare Stash Bourbon #2, by Dustin Poirier, is a blend of straight bourbons aged 8.5 and 7.5 years, drawn from Tennessee and Indiana. It is bottled at 91 proof in a 75cl bottle.
The 8.5 year old matured in Char #4 white oak barrels and the 7.5 year old in Char #3 white oak barrels. Both are made from a 75/21/4 mash bill.
The nose is rich and slightly sweet, with vanilla, oak and caramel. On the palate a lingering warmth carries vanilla, butterscotch, oak and a hint of chocolate.
