This is a Kentucky straight bourbon from RD1 Spirits, aged for over 4 years and then given a second finish in barrels fitted with French oak staves infused with maple syrup.
The staves are infused through a patented process using pressure, oxygen, time and temperature.
The nose is maple and butterscotch, with toasted caramel, roasted pecans and a hint of paprika. The palate balances maple sweetness with black peppercorn spice. The finish is smooth and long, with a subtle toasted caramel note.
