This is a straight bourbon from San Antonio, Texas, made from 75% corn, 21% rye and 4% malted barley. It is finished with French oak staves and bottled at 103 proof, or 51.5% ABV, in a 750ml bottle.
The nose opens with toasted oak, vanilla and caramel. On the palate come dark chocolate, baking spice and charred wood. The finish is warming, with lingering rye spice, brown sugar and roasted oak.
