Rebel Yell 100 Proof Bourbon (75cl, 50%)

Rebel Yell 100 Proof is a Kentucky straight wheated bourbon in a 75cl bottle, bottled at 50% ABV. It uses the same wheated recipe as the standard Rebel Yell, at a higher strength. The whiskey is distilled at Heaven Hill in Bardstown and bottled by Luxco. The mashbill is 68% corn, 20% wheat and 12% malted barley, and it goes into medium #3 char oak casks at 125 proof before being reduced to 100 proof. The nose brings roasted peanuts, dried cherry, toffee, cocoa and nutmeg. On the palate are caramel, vanilla, brown sugar and charred wood, with cocoa and cinnamon. The finish is medium, with peanut butter, oak tannins and toffee.
