Red Spot 15 Year Old is an Irish single pot still whiskey, triple-distilled and matured for 15 years. It was developed by the Mitchell & Son family and made to a historic family recipe.
The maturation combines American bourbon barrels, Spanish Oloroso sherry butts and Sicilian Marsala wine casks.
The nose offers baked apple, mango, cherry, hazelnut and American oak. The palate is rich and layered, with Marsala-driven sweetness, cracked pepper, red fruits, toasted oak and soft barley. The finish is very long, with spice and stewed fruit.
