Redbreast 12 Year Old is an Irish single pot still whiskey, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle.
What sets it apart is the distilling. Where Irish whiskey is usually distilled three times, this one is distilled two and a half times. That approach gives a whiskey that comes across as more intense and more powerful than many of its Irish counterparts. It is matured in a mix of bourbon and sherry casks.
