Redbreast 12 Year Old is a single pot still Irish whiskey from Midleton Distillery in County Cork, in a 750ml bottle at 40% ABV. It is triple distilled in copper pot stills from equal parts malted and unmalted barley.
It is matured for at least 12 years in ex-bourbon barrels and Oloroso sherry casks.
The nose is ripe stone fruit, orange blossom honey, toasted oak, crystallised ginger and dried vine fruit. The palate is soft and honeyed, with sherried dried fruit, vanilla, toffee, caraway and cinnamon over a creamy texture. The finish is long and velvety, with walnut, dried apricot and gentle oak spice.
