Redbreast 12 Year Old is a single pot still Irish whiskey in a 700ml bottle. It is made from a mash of malted and unmalted barley and triple distilled in copper pot stills.
The whiskey is matured in a combination of American oak barrels that previously held Bourbon and Spanish oak butts seasoned with Oloroso sherry, which gives the sherry style Redbreast is known for.
The nose is spicy and fruity with toasted wood. The palate is full and silky, balancing spice, fruit, sherry and toasted notes, and the finish is long.
