Redbreast 12 Year Old is an Irish single pot still whiskey in a 70cl bottle. It is made from a mash of malted and unmalted barley and triple distilled in copper pot stills.
The whiskey is matured in a combination of ex-Bourbon American oak barrels and Spanish oak butts that previously held Oloroso sherry, which gives it the sherry-led style associated with Redbreast.
The nose is spicy and fruity with toasted wood. On the palate it is full flavoured and silky, balancing spice, fruit, sherry and toasted notes, and the finish is long.
