Redbreast 18 Year Old is an Irish single pot still whiskey aged for eighteen years in bourbon and sherry casks.
The bourbon wood adds vanilla and spice, while the sherry casks bring dried and candied fruit.
The nose shows dried fruit, fig, date and raisin, with vanilla, caramel, soft spice and a light toasted wood note. The palate is rich and velvety, with candied fruit, nuts, honey and spice. The finish is long, woody, spicy and slightly sweet.
