Redbreast 18 Year Old is an Irish whiskey blended by Master Blender David McCabe, and bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It is the 18-year-old addition to the Redbreast range, which the makers describe as having "a little added maturity".
The whiskey is matured in ex-bourbon barrels and in casks seasoned with oloroso sherry, cream sherry and ruby port.
The nose is delicate, with berry aromas, sugar-glazed cherries and dried figs. The palate is full-bodied and round, with oak tannins set against a rich sweetness, and the finish is long, with pot still spices.
