Redbreast 21 Year Old is a single pot still Irish whiskey from the Midleton Distillery in County Cork, bottled at 46% in a 750ml bottle. It is triple distilled from a mash of malted and unmalted barley.
It matures in first-fill Oloroso sherry-seasoned Spanish oak butts alongside ex-bourbon American oak casks, and every component has spent at least 21 years in oak. It is bottled non-chill-filtered.
The nose offers fresh tropical fruits, nuts and rich dried fruit. On the palate come soft vanilla, toasted oak and sherry nuttiness with a dusting of spice, and the finish lingers with oak and spice before a last note of barley.
