Redbreast 27 Year Old Cask Strength Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey (70cl, 54.6%)

This is a 27 year old single pot still Irish whiskey from Redbreast, bottled at its natural cask strength of 54.6% abv in a 70cl bottle. It is the oldest permanent bottling in the Redbreast family. The whiskey is triple distilled and matured for no less than 27 years in bourbon, sherry and ruby port casks, then left untouched before bottling. The nose brings mango, pineapple, blood orange and red berries, with vanilla, treacle toffee, walnuts and toasted oak. On the palate it is rich in texture, with red plums, black cherries and a hint of chilli oil, moving to cinnamon, nutmeg and red pepper. The finish is long, with ripe fruit and wood spices.
