Redbreast Lustau Edition is a single pot still Irish whiskey from the Midleton distillery, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It belongs to the Iberian Series and was bottled on 7 October 2021.
The whiskey was matured in bourbon casks and finished in first-fill Oloroso sherry casks, with fresh Spanish oak adding to the result.
The nose is rich with dark fruit, plums, dates and figs, alongside liquorice, marzipan, toasted oak and aromatic spices. The palate is assertive with spice, rounded by the sherry finish and Spanish oak. The finish is very long, with sweetness and spice lingering before Oloroso sherry and Spanish oak close it.
