Redbreast Lustau Edition is an Irish single pot still whiskey, born of a collaboration between Bodegas Lustau and the Midleton Distillery, in a 70cl bottle.
It is first matured in bourbon and sherry casks for nine to twelve years, then finished for one more year in first-fill, hand-selected sherry butts seasoned with Oloroso from Bodegas Lustau in Jerez, Spain.
The pot still spirit is silky, with assertive spices balanced by the richness of the sherry finish and fresh Spanish oak. Sweetness and spice linger, with Oloroso sherry and Spanish oak having the last word.
