Redbreast Moscatel Cask Edition is a single pot still Irish whiskey in a 750ml bottle, bottled at 46%. It is made from malted and unmalted barley distilled in copper pot stills.
The spirit is aged first in ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks, then given an extended finish in seasoned Moscatel wine casks that previously held fortified Moscatel wine. The barrels were selected specifically for the US market.
Tasting notes point to fruit, honey and floral character, including dried stone fruit, honeyed citrus, warm spice, orange blossom and candied apricot.
