Redbreast PX Edition Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey (75cl, 46%)

Redbreast PX Edition is a triple-distilled single pot still Irish whiskey from Midleton Distillery in County Cork. It began as a limited release in 2021 and is now a permanent part of the Redbreast range, as the first expression in the Iberian Series. It is bottled at 46% ABV and is non-chill filtered. The whiskey matures first in ex-bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks, then is re-casked into Pedro Ximénez hogsheads from Bodegas Lustau in southern Spain. The nose offers raisin, fig and roasted nuts over oak and spice. The palate is velvety and full-bodied, with dark fruit, toasted sugar, cinnamon and orange peel. The finish is long, with Pedro Ximénez sweetness, clove and oak.
