Redbreast Sherry Cask PX Finish is a single pot still Irish whiskey from Midleton Distillery in County Cork, bottled at 46% in a 750ml bottle. It belongs to the Redbreast Iberian Series and is non-chill-filtered.
The whiskey is triple distilled from malted and unmalted barley. It matures first in ex-bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks, then moves into Pedro Ximénez sherry hogsheads from southern Spain for its finish.
The nose is dark and jammy, with fig, date, molasses and cocoa. The palate is syrupy, with spiced orange, baking chocolate and toasted nuts. The finish is long, with dried fruit, gentle tannin and warming spice.
