This is a high-rye bourbon from Redemption's Cask Series, bottled at 49.5% ABV in a 75cl bottle. The base is the brand's bourbon of 60% corn, 36% rye and 4% malted barley, aged in new American oak.
It was then finished in French oak casks from Ferrand that had previously held Cognac. It is non-chill-filtered.
The brand's notes describe floral hibiscus, concord grape, clove and allspice on the nose. The palate offers dark stone fruits, plum and peach preserves, spiced poached pear and French oak tannin. The finish is warming and long, with buttered pecan, praline and baking spice.
