This is a straight rye whiskey from Indiana, bottled at 47% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It is finished in rum casks, which bring a Caribbean influence to an American rye.
The rum finish is meant to add tropical notes while the rye character stays firm in the glass.
The nose is usually described as vanilla and oak with a whisper of rum. On the palate come spicy rye, caramel sweetness, and hints of molasses and tropical fruit, leading to a smooth finish.
