Redemption Straight Bourbon Finished in Cognac Casks is an American straight bourbon in a 75cl bottle. It was first aged in new charred oak barrels, then given a second maturation in Cognac casks.
The finish is said to add depth, texture and subtle fruit and floral notes to the bourbon's natural sweetness. It belongs to Redemption's Cask Series and is produced in limited batches.
The nose combines dried fruit, vanilla, toasted oak and soft floral notes. The palate brings caramel, honeyed sweetness, stone fruit, gentle spice and oak, and the finish is smooth and lingering with fruit, vanilla and oak warmth.
