Foggy Burl is a California single malt whiskey from Redwood Empire, made from 100% malted barley and distilled grain-to-glass in Sonoma County. It is part of the Small Set Series and is bottled at 47% ABV in a 750ml bottle. The whiskey is aged in toasted and number 3 charred new oak barrels. Its name comes from one of the tallest redwoods ever measured, and the label carries the tree's GPS coordinates. Tasting notes begin with brandied cherries, port, cashew and chamomile on the nose. The palate offers brownie sundae, forest floor and molasses, and the finish is long and warming, with dark chocolate and subtle spice.
