Redwood Empire Pipe Dream Bourbon Whiskey (75cl, 45%)

Pipe Dream is a straight bourbon from Redwood Empire Whiskey of California, bottled at 45% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It is a blend of straight bourbons from barrels aged 4 to 14 years, with components distilled in California, Indiana, Kentucky and Tennessee. The mash bill is 73% corn, 18% rye, 5% malted barley and 4% wheat. It takes its name from a coast redwood that stands 367 feet tall, the 14th tallest tree on the planet. The nose is powerful and sweet, with maple, vanilla and a hint of honey. On the palate come roasted pecan and vanilla, with lingering char and woody notes. The finish is smooth, with a hint of black pepper.
