Redwood Empire – The Colonel Armstrong Wheated Bourbon Whiskey (75cl)

The Colonel Armstrong is a wheated bourbon from Redwood Empire of California, in a 750ml bottle. It takes its name from Colonel James Armstrong, who fought for the Union, moved to Northern California and preserved what is now Armstrong Woods. The makers chose the name after noticing warm, nostalgic notes of cereal and strawberry in the whiskey. The palate is soft and rounded, with layers of ripe stone fruit, a touch of vanilla and honeyed grain, a hint of strawberry and gentle baking spice. It ends with a smooth oak finish.
