Remus Repeal Reserve Series IX is the 2025 limited release from Ross & Squibb Distillery in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, issued for Prohibition Repeal Day. It is a straight bourbon bottled at 100 proof (50% ABV).
The whiskey is a blend of straight bourbons aged between 9 and 15 years, and the release is inspired by George Remus, known as the King of the Bootleggers.
The nose offers toffee, brown sugar, dried fruit and charred oak. On the palate come vanilla bean, caramel, nutmeg and candied citrus. The finish is long and warming, with spice, oak and dark fruit.
