Louis XIII is a Cognac from Rémy Martin, made from grapes grown in the Grande Champagne area of the Cognac region. The soils there are said to give the softest style of Cognac.
The blend has an average age of 50 years. The youngest eaux-de-vie are 35 years old, and the oldest reach back to the late 1800s. It is presented in a decanter made by Baccarat.
In the glass it is a golden mahogany colour. Aroma and flavour bring walnuts, passion fruit and floral notes of violet and rose.
